Sure Smile

The issue that was preventing it from firing correctly is that I had the set_character_flag = bloodline_passed at the end of the event, but apparently, when you have several "IF's" it needs to be at the bottom of each IF otherwise they just keep firing indefinitely and therefore everyone ended up inheriting.

I'll wait until I have more events before I upload to the dropbox, but here is the stand-alone version at least:

You can make a condition like "NOT = { trait = blood_of_numenor }", and you won't needs any character flag Wink

I had those kinds of conditions from the start, that's why it was driving me nuts Smile

I still don't fully understand why, but for some reason the random_limit part of the "IF" condition kept firing so that even if there was only a 25% chance of inheriting, it would just fire 100 times and there would end up being a 99.9999% chance of inheriting.

But yeah, the important thing is that it works now Okay

Lon, dwarves and elves traits/events need localisations  Okay
PS: I'm working at a similar trait/event for hobbits, with malus on martial abilities, on "ai_ambition" and a boost of "ai_rationality" to simulate the pacifism of Hobbits. You set health = 120.0 for dwarves, and health = 100.0 for elves, what could i set for hobbits?

With health=20 for for the Blood_of_Numenor trait characters live almost to be 200 years old (I think I stopped playing when Denethor, Aragorn, and Imrahil were all in their 160s).

So definitely not 20, perhaps we should try with 10?

If health=20 lets Numenoreans living 200 years isn't health=120 too much for dwarves?

I'll try a game during 300+ years and i'll see Wink

In fact, i extend some little things in the defines.lua lines:
NATURAL_DEATH_CHANCE_AGE_0 = 5, -- Natural deaths per decade out of 10000 people: Age 0-9
NATURAL_DEATH_CHANCE_AGE_10 = 1, -- Natural deaths per decade out of 10000 people: Age 10-19
NATURAL_DEATH_CHANCE_AGE_20 = 15, -- Natural deaths per decade out of 10000 people: Age 20-29
NATURAL_DEATH_CHANCE_AGE_30 = 20, -- Natural deaths per decade out of 10000 people: Age 30-39
NATURAL_DEATH_CHANCE_AGE_40 = 51, -- Natural deaths per decade out of 10000 people: Age 40-49
NATURAL_DEATH_CHANCE_AGE_50 = 100, -- Natural deaths per decade out of 10000 people: Age 50-59
NATURAL_DEATH_CHANCE_AGE_60 = 320, -- Natural deaths per decade out of 10000 people: Age 60-69
NATURAL_DEATH_CHANCE_AGE_70 = 734, -- Natural deaths per decade out of 10000 people: Age 70-79
NATURAL_DEATH_CHANCE_AGE_80 = 1728, -- Natural deaths per decade out of 10000 people: Age 80-90
NATURAL_DEATH_CHANCE_AGE_90 = 4000, -- Natural deaths per decade out of 10000 people: Age 90-99
NATURAL_DEATH_CHANCE_AGE_100 = 8160, -- Natural deaths per decade out of 10000 people: Age 100-109
NATURAL_DEATH_CHANCE_AGE_110 = 8520, -- Natural deaths per decade out of 10000 people: Age 110-119
NATURAL_DEATH_CHANCE_AGE_120 = 8960, -- Natural deaths per decade out of 10000 people: Age 120-129
NATURAL_DEATH_CHANCE_AGE_130 = 9160, -- Natural deaths per decade out of 10000 people: Age 130-139
NATURAL_DEATH_CHANCE_AGE_140 = 9560, -- Natural deaths per decade out of 10000 people: Age 140-149
NATURAL_DEATH_CHANCE_AGE_150 = 9990, -- Natural deaths per decade out of 10000 people: Age 150+

It's something we could easily changed later too. So with a +20 health, characters will lives until 170-180 years, (200 for the stronger ones), and someone with +120 health should live 400 years i think. But we're needing some adjustments on this.

Excellent! The thing I'd like to knwo for long-term simulations is, yes, blood_of_numenor gives fertility malus, but it also allows characters to live longer, meaning then can marry a 2nd and 3rd wife and keep reproducing (Denethor at 160 years old had like 10 children - though only half of them had inherited the trait since his wife didn't have it). So I'm thinking about hte evolutionary dynamics, and if we need to increase the fertility malus for that trait Very Happy Trait should after all become more and more rare after time, and not more and more common.

Yes, the Heir_of_Isildur trait should give minor health bonuses (on top of the blood_of_numenor trait) and be inherited no matter what. If someone has both heir of isildur and blood of numenor, they should live to 180ish, or however long it was that Aragorn lived to Okay

Well we can make a small event for remove the "blood of numenor" trait when a character got the "heir_of_isildur" trait Wink

We can,  yes, but if Aragorn and his descendants keep marrying non-numenoreans, I think that should be reflected in the life expectancy. But maybe that's just me being elitist Mr. Green

Edit: It works quite well now though in that princely families prefer to marry into other princely familes, and most ofhte princely families should have at least the blood_of_numenor2 trait.
