I'm looking to the vanilla codes of mongols invasions, the goal is to make several invasions during Third Age : Balchoths, Wainriders, invasion of Minas Ithil, Arrival of the Witch-King in Angmar, ...
For now, i'm making some test with the Wainriders! |

Sounds great, and fits perfectly with Middle-Earth themes!
For the current War of the Ring scenario, one way to get the proper battle for Gondor/Rohan going is also via invasions.
Saruman's invasion of Rohan should definitely be scripted at least (otherwise he is too weak with just one province).
I think the current casus belli mechanics will make Mordor attack pretty soon after game-start anyways, and Umbar should also join in once they see in opportunity after Gondor is weakened by the battles with the orcs if I manage to give them those claims via events. |

Yep, I was thinking about Isengard too! For now it seems to works, but i would like to spawn a "specific" character instead of a random one at the head of the invasions, i ask for helps in the Paradox Forum |

Well the random character you can still customize quite a bit, even giving a name, dynasty, stats, etc in the invasion event script.
I had huge problems trying to get an already-created character (maglor) move to the court of the player, at least, but hopefully it's easier making them command an invasion! |

Yes, I already made my random character, but i want to use specific ones for "history" reasons as Castamir the Usurper, Saruman, the Witch-King, or the characters i created for balchoths and wainriders. |

If you find the proper command that lets you scope to a specific character ID and it works, post it here and let me know It might be what I need to get my Maglor event working. |

Once we have a Maglor created, I'll go back and take a look at the event again and post here if I'm still stuck
On a related note re: invasions, I'm doing the event for Umbar/Gondor claims at the moment.
Should we also give Saruman a chance for a claim on d_dunland and d_Isenmarch via event? And later, a claim on K_Rohan when his prestige is high enough? (1000?)
Any other claims that we should consider? Perhaps a dwarf claim on Moria if one is a ruler of the line of Durin... ? If we do this, however, I'll have to change the province file for Moria to give them extra fortresses and troops so that it becomes quite difficult to conquer. |

I agree for a claim via event for Rohan and Isenmarch. I would not give a claim on Dunland I agree for the dwarvish claim too. Maybe we can create two separate claims "Reconquest of Moria" and "Reconquest of Erebor" if they're occupied by a non-dwarvish race. |

True, there is not really a reason for giving a claim on Dunland... if Saruman wants it, he can send his Uruks
On the other hand, we should then maybe give the ruler of Dunland a chance to claim Westmarch and Westfolde duchies if prestige is high enough? 500?
And yes, I think I can make that work for the dwarves! |

I totally agree PS: The Saruman's claim/event on Rohan should fire only if Saruman has the evil_side trait and has the k_isengard as primary title. Is it possible to code? |

Oh yes, definitely possible I'll leave out the evil side thing for now since it's not implemented and I need to test how it works in gameplay, but it'll take 5 seconds to put in once we have it operational. |
